Kathryn Salmi is licensed by the State of Michigan both as a professional counselor and an addictions counselor.

Kathryn, a native of Hancock, Michigan, attended Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio, graduating with a masters degree of divinity in pastoral psychology and counseling.

She was part of the "Emerge" Counseling Program of which Dr. Richard Dobbins, pastor and psychologist, was the instructor.

Kathryn has studied in Finland and has a masters degree in special education, in which she has taught for seven years.

In addition to counseling individuals, Kathryn has had experience with hospital chaplaincy and youth work. Kathryn was an outpatient counselor for New Creations Ministries in Atlantic Mine, Michigan, from 1985 to 1992. She has also taught classes at Finlandia University.

Her special calling is to Christian counseling as well as speaking in the area of Christian mental health. Kathryn opened her private practice November 1992. Michigan Counseling services provided include marriage, anxiety, alcohol and drug addiction.
